Fruit of the Spirit
Jesus did not ask people for money. Jesus instructed His disciples to leave everything and follow Him. Jesus’ disciples left behind everything “to follow you.” Luke 18 27–29 demonstrates this. It says, Luke 18:27–29 27 Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” 28 Peter said to him, “We have left all we had to follow you!” 29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God 30 will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.” Here, Jesus tells us that leaving everything in the world to follow Him shall be rewarded. The reward is “to receive many times as much in this age, and the age to come eternal life.” Thus, even though Jesus says leave everything, the reward will be a lot more than what they’ve left behind.
